The Bitch says: Protect our kids
Today is going to be a rant day.......but a necessary one. First let me give you some background. I work in the health care field, primarily geriatrics. I love kids but I will never work in a pediatric unit or in an ER or a Trauma Center. When they bring in a child that has been abused I would through professionality out the window. They would be calling the police to get me off of the person who hurt that child or the person who knew it was being done but did nothing to stop it. That said read this:
Louis and Estelvina Rodriguez have been arrested and charged with child abuse for reportedly keeping their twin five-year-old sons locked in dirty cages for 20 hours a day.
Police were tipped off to the living conditions by another family member and When they arrived at the family's home, police found the twins inside wired-together cribs filled with roaches. A small mattress underneath the children was stained with feces.
Estelvina Rodriguez, 42, told police her 69-year-old husband wanted the active boys in cages because he suffers from health problems and couldn't keep up with them. She said they were trying to control the children, not punish them.
The boys couldn't speak and aren't yet toilet-trained, police said.
"They can't talk," said Edna White, who has lived next door to the family for 27 years. "When they tried, just noises would come out."
Now, you have to understand that I have a problem with people who "crate" train their dogs so they can go to work all day, leaving the dog alone, and the dog will not make any mess. If you can't provide an adequate environment for your dog while you're at work don't have one. And this was children. I was a single parent of 5 children. I found day care, I made sure my kids were healthy and happy. I stayed up alot of days, when working graveyard, because I didn't have daycare for that day. You do whatever it is you have to do to take care of your kids. You DON'T put them in a cage.
And then we have the religious freaks who kill children to cure them. Read this:
A church minister was charged Tuesday in the death of an 8-year-old autistic boy who suffocated as church leaders tried to heal him at a storefront church.
The charges stem from a service at the Faith Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith on Friday. The boy's mother, Patricia Cooper, told investigators the minister held Terrance Cottrell Jr. on the ground with one hand on his head, another between his legs, and his knee pressed into the boy's chest. Cooper and another woman each held one of his legs, while a third woman laid across his torso.
The mother ``stated that while this was going on she could see Ray Hemphill talking to Terrance Cottrell and telling him that the 'Demon should leave him,''' for about two hours, the complaint said.
The boy suffered extensive bruising on the back of his neck and died of suffocation, the complaint said.
Cooper began taking her son to the church tucked in a run-down strip mall three weeks ago for special prayer services three times a week, said Bishop David Hemphill, the leader of the church and Ray Hemphill's brother.
So, I guess the moral is you can cage your kids but, if they have a problem you take them to church......not the doctor.....and they can suffocate but the damm devil will be out.
There should be a parenting class that you have to pass before you're allowed to have children. And not the simple things like changing a diaper or heating up a bottle. Things like what happens if you have to go to work and your husband or whatever can't take care of your kids. Or, if the baby is not perfect. If he has mental or emotional problems what do you do? How do you handle them? If you don't score an A you don't get to have kids. Reproduction should be a privelege not a right.
