For about 2 years I have been living this double life. Sane.....well, kind of....adult going to school, working all normal stuff right? Then, there is the dark side. The side I hide in my room every nite or every couple of nites.......The side I never tell my friends about. They would never believe me anyway.......I have lived for 2 years as a Neopets addict. Neopets is a child's game. For those of you who don't know, there are these little cyberpets you get to adopt and the first thing they want is food. You see, they are always hungry. So, you run around and play games and buy food for those stupid little pets. You can have up to 4 on one account. So, you get four. You play games, you make a shop to sell some crap in to make more money to feed those damm little pets. You take them to different places where they can win stuff and gain levels so they are stronger. Except you go to this stupid Wheel of Fortune and the damm thing flames all your pets so now you got to heal them. Then, they catch some crappy disease and you have to go buy medicine. All the medicine is pretty cheap except what you have to have for that stupid sick pet. Now, you make another account cuz you don't have enough fun with 4 pets.....you have to have more. Then, you join a guild. It could be a guild that loves Buffy or Charmed or Neomillionaires, or witches or witch wanna bes. You have to have friends out in the cruel neoworld. You post your little heart out, you donate your ass off.....and you get.........ummmmmm.....not sure what you get but you do it anyway.
Then, you wake up in the middle of Terror Mountain with the some big fucking monster hurting your pets and you can't stop it. Now, they're hurt and scared and........there's a war. Somewhere in that stupid computer screen is a war and you have to help fight it........WHY!!!!
Neopets is a game....a kid's game....the pets aren't going to die......they say they're dying for 6 months but they don't. You are fighting in the battledome against a 7 year old who just kicked your ass. Down with neopets......or just down with people who think it's real
