The Bitch says: Honor and Rememberance
9/11......I remember when the date-9/11-was just another day on the calendar.
But, no more. Now 9/11 brings out all kinds of emotions in people...good and bad.
Those of us who feel that the irresponsible bombing of Afganistan and the lie that caused us to attack Iraq are often accused of not caring about what was done to us on 9/11/2001. That is so untrue.
I agree we needed to arrest the people who were responsible for the attack. At least those that were still alive. To incarcerate 100's of people in Cuba for no other reason than they MIGHT belong to or be related to someone in a terrorist group is not acceptable. To bomb hundreds of innocent people in Afganistan on our pitiful attempt to find Bin Ladin is not acceptable. To attack a country using a lie for the reason is not acceptable. This does not honor the memory of the people who died that day.
That should be our most important job.....honor and respect the memory of the thousands of people who died.
We, as a people, have become more united because of this tragedy......until someone disagrees with what we have done in retaliation....and, this was not defense. Our actions in Afganistan were purely revenge.....revenge against a wedding party, revenge against and UN warehouse, revenge against everyone but that one man.
I understand that it's embarrassing to send the might of the United States to look for one man and fail. And, now we've done it twice.
For whatever reason Bush thinks of next to attack some country.......understand that it doesn't matter who he kills..or rather, sends someone else to kill.....just long as someone--man, woman, or child--dies he will be satisfied.
